Non-EU citizens who intend to enrol in a bachelor’s, master’s or single-cycle degree programme taught in English at the University of Pisa and who are required to demonstrate B2-level English language proficiency for visa purposes may apply to take the test administered by the University Language Centre.

The test assesses the four language skills (Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking) in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). Candidates who pass the test will receive a certificate attesting to their B2-level English language proficiency.

B2 English language test for applicants who need a language certificate

• Registration period: from 10:00 a.m. on 14/09/2026 to 11:59 p.m. on 16/09/2026
• Computer-based written test: 22 September 2026
• Oral test: 23 September 2026

To register for the test, please follow these instructions carefully.

Step 1: click on “Accedi” in the top-right corner, then select “Non ho un account” and complete the registration form.

Step 2: once you have logged in, click on “B2 English Language Proficiency Test for Non-EU Citizens” and then on “ISCRIVITI” (enrol).

Step 3: after registration has closed, you will receive an email from cli@cli.unipi.it containing instructions for payment of the €70.00 fee.

Please note: if you do not meet the requirements for admission to the test, you will receive an email informing you that your booking has been cancelled.
